Inks Lake State Park

February 14-16, 2020

In the Texas Hill Country about an hour northwest of Austin, lies Inks Lake, a reservoir on the Colorado River with rock outcroppings, wildlife, and plenty of foliage. Inks Lake State Park sits on teh east edge of the Llano Uplift, the geologic heart of Texas. It has some of the best views of pre-Cambrian (more than 600 million-years-old) geology in the state. This state park also has nine miles of hiking trails through shaded forests and rocky hills.

And one of our Troop’s traditions is to stop and experience some of the best pie you will ever eat!
